Why Should I hire a harpist for my event?
The harp is a fantastic way to elevate any event. A harp is a very traditional and elegant instrument for weddings. Harps are also commonly requested for church, memorial, and funeral services bringing an added level of calm or spirituality. The uniqueness of the harp is guaranteed to class up any other special event including galas, cocktail hours, or open houses.
How do I reserve or book Hannah for special event harp music services?
To book Hannah's services, please follow these steps:
1. Submit contact form with your contact information, event type, date, and event address
2. Once you have established contact, discuss details such as price, song requests, playing time agreement, and event details
3. A non-refundable deposit and a contract signature will be required to finalize the booking
What is the pricing for Hannah's harp services?
Please contact Hannah for a more specific and detailed price. Each event will have slightly different pricing depending on a few variables including location and time. However, the general fee structure includes the following:
1. Travel Fee: charged per mile of travel between locations
2. Harp Moving Fee: initial flat rate, additional fees for large staircases, or difficult setup
3. Playing Time: Outside of initial setup, rates will begin when services are required and will continue until Hannah is able to pack up and leave. This can include playing time, waiting between two playing sessions, etc.
4. Song Requests: Depending on the package you choose, song requests will be included. Additional song requests may be added for a small fee.
5. Overtime Fees: additional fees based on time spent playing over the pre-arranged length of playing time
Do you have any special playing requirements or restrictions?
The harp is a delicate, but large instrument. Moving a harp from location to location is doable, but can be a difficult task. Hannah will be able to move the harp on her own with a dolly. She will require the following:
1. Someone to open any doors and a clear pathway
2. Flat surface to roll the harp to the designated playing position
3. Parking spot close to the entrance or loading spot to smoothly unload the harp
4. If outdoors, have an indoor backup plan in case of poor weather
5. Flat, dry surface to play on (no beach sand or wet grass)
If the client wants the harp to be moved to a different spot at any point during the event, please allow for 5-10 minutes of moving time. ​
The harp is a fragile instrument, guests are not permitted to touch the harp unless explicitly given permission by Hannah. They are welcome to admire the beautiful instrument from a short distance.
Other precautions include keeping food and drink away from the harp or keeping heavy traffic away from the playing position.
What locations does Hannah offer her harp services at?
Hannah operates out of South Florida, primarily in Broward County, Palm Beach County, and Miami-Dade County.
Hannah is willing to drive to a farther location, however, there is a 120 mile limit and travel is billed per mile.

During an event, what if I need Hannah to play or stay longer than our original time agreement?
Work with Hannah before the event to estimate the amount of playing time required. On the day of the event, if additional timing is required, Hannah can provide extended playing time or stay within reason that will be added to the bill after the event.
Does Hannah take song requests?
Of course! Hannah offers a wide range of repertoire to choose from. Please check the bookings tab for a sample list of the repertoire. Consult Hannah with any additional songs you'd like to have played. Depending on the package you choose, song requests will be included. A small fee will be charged per any additional song request or any pieces outside of her list.
Song requests are welcomed 2 weeks prior to the event. Song requests are potentially permitted day of the event, but Hannah may or may not be able to provide depending on the piece.
What information do you need from me?
In order to start a discussion, Hannah will need your contact information such as name, phone number, email, event type (funeral, wedding, etc.), date & time, and event address.
Once Hannah has confirmed her availability, more details may be requested such as:
-Event type (funeral, wedding, reception, etc.)
-If applicable, name of bride & groom
-Point of contact the day of the event
-Vision details (play during wedding processional? background music during dinner? solo performance during a program?)
-Specific details and cues on when to start and stop playing (when bride walks in, stop once groom comes in, immediately when people start filing into the hall, etc.)
-Music type (solemn, wedding, classical styles) and song requests
-Pre-arranged estimated length of playing time
-Day of event details (where to setup harp, parking, indoor/outdoor situation, door opener, etc.)
